Thailand Survival Skills: Dealing with Rubber Bands

Thai food rocks and Thailand has great street food but if you take it home you get it in a plastic bag closed with a rubber band. Many people have a problem opening these bags and some resort to “drastic ways of opening” like ripping them apart. The result can be quite messy, especially if you deal with soups. Here is a little video we just made for fun yesterday that shows you how to close and open little plastic bags Thai style.

Cool video - now how do I get my fingers to work like that?

  2. ERS Says:

Ok, very neat, but a knife or scissors is much faster unless one has a particular need for the rubber band don’t you think.
